SANA'A August 18. 2024 (Saba) - The Secretary -General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation(SCMCHA), Ibrahim Al -Hamli, held meetings on Sunday with the international organizations employees in the capital’s secretariat.
The meetings, which were attended by the resident coordinator of the United Nations - Humanitarian Coordinator Julien Harneis, and a number international representatives , international organizations and lasted for five days, aimed to enhance cooperation , coordination between the Council , organizations, and to clarify the pivotal role played by the Supreme Council in facilitating humanitarian work in Yemen.
During the meetings, Al -Hamli stressed the contributing importance to building a more transparent and positive work environment, which allows the implementation of humanitarian projects more effectively, and is due to the citizen benefit .
He pointed out the importance of enhancing the organizations' employees awareness of the danger of spying that may be used within the framework of humanitarian work.
Al -Hamli dominated the need to be cautious and to ensure the sources of information, and avoid falling into the trap of espionage, which could lead to undermining the humanitarian work efforts, harming the country interests , and ensuring the humanitarian work progress in accordance with the principles of humanitarian work and Yemeni laws.
He pointed out that these meetings are a step towards strengthening fruitful cooperation, which benefits the humanitarian work in the country, indicating the importance of supporting the qualified Yemeni cadre to fill the jobs that the foreign employee occupies, and obtaining the privileges obtained by the foreign employee.
For their part, organizations employees, who numbered about 3287 employees, affirmed their commitment to work in accordance with the principles of humanitarian work and Yemeni laws, by working with the Council to implement projects and activities that meet the needs of the Yemenis.
