SANA'A August 18. 2024 (Saba) - A formal handover ceremony took place on Monday in Sana'a as Dhaif Allah al-Shami, the outgoing Minister of Information, transferred his responsibilities to the incoming Minister, Hashem Sharaf al-Din.
During the ceremony, Minister Sharaf al-Din praised al-Shami for his leadership during challenging times marked by the aggression and siege, which put significant pressure on Yemeni media.
Despite these challenges, al-Shami's tenure saw considerable achievements and progress in the media sector.
Sharaf al-Din emphasized his commitment to building on these successes and continuing efforts to enhance media performance, particularly in exposing the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression.
He acknowledged the dedication of the ministry's staff in developing media capabilities under difficult conditions.
Al-Shami expressed gratitude to the ministry's leaders and staff for their perseverance and wished Sharaf Al-Din success in his new role. He highlighted the importance of ongoing collaboration to further improve media institutions.
To honor his contributions, Sharaf al-Din presented al-Shami with a token of appreciation for his dedicated service to the nation.
