OCCUPIED QUDS August 20. 2024 (Saba) - The British newspaper "Financial Times" quoted a diplomatic source as saying: "It is not clear what the time frame is for the Zionist presence in the Philadelphi corridor, or what reducing the presence means, and whether the Zionists will continue to control exit and entry through Rafah."
The source explained that Biden's basic plan consisted of "three stages stipulating that the Zionist enemy will withdraw from populated areas in Gaza in the first stage, and then completely in the second stage," but "Netanyahu has insisted in recent weeks on keeping Zionist forces in the Philadelphi corridor."
The Times of Israel had quoted an Israeli official familiar with the meeting that took place between Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken as saying: "The Americans did not reject the Zionist strategic logic."
The official confirmed that "Israel" is unable to withdraw from the Philadelphi corridor completely, because "it cannot be sure of its ability to return" if necessary due to international pressure.
