BANGKOK August 21. 2024 (Saba) -Thailand on Wednesday recorded first suspected case of the new, most dangerous mpox virus, which the World Health Organization declared as a global health emergency.

The 66-year European patient arrived in Bangkok on 14 August and was taken to hospital after mpox syndromes were detected on the next day, chief of disease control center in the kingdom said.
