TEHRAN- SABA :
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit Iraq next Wednesday in his first foreign visit since taking office at the end of July.
According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA that during the visit, the Iranian president will hold bilateral meetings with senior Iraqi officials.
The two countries will also sign cooperation documents and security memorandums during the visit.
The Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem al-Sadeq, had earlier announced that Bazhkian would soon head to Baghdad at the head of a high-level delegation at the invitation of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shi'ah al-Sudani.
"The memorandums that were to be signed by the two countries during a visit by the late President Ebrahim Raisi will be signed" during Pezeshkian's visit, he said.
