ABUJA - SABA: Participants in an event in Lagos, Nigeria, have called for increased financial and moral support for the Palestinian people to help them confront ongoing aggression.

During "al-Aqsa Day 2024" event, organized by the Islamic Awareness Association (MAI) at the Surulere National Stadium, speakers emphasized that the Palestinian cause transcends religion and race, highlighting its significance as a humanitarian issue.

Prominent figures, including former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode, condemned the ongoing Zionist violations in Gaza, which have resulted in over 40,000 Palestinian deaths, predominantly among women and children.

In a recorded message from Abuja, Fani-Kayode urged both Muslims and Christians in Nigeria to recognize their moral obligation to oppose the Zionist aggression in Gaza.
