Tehran – Saba: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that the attack of the brutal Zionist enemy entity on Lebanon is the result of its predicament in the Gaza Strip.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted Araqchi in a statement, saying: "The failure to respond to the assassination of the head of Hamas' political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, means calling for more attacks against the Zionist entity.
He stressed that the response to Haniyeh's assassination did not fall off Iran's agenda.
Iran's foreign minister warned of an all-out war in the region.
He stated that if "the United States and other allies of the Zionist entity do not stop the attacks in Tel Aviv, they must bear responsibility for the repercussions of this."
During a meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani in New York on Tuesday, Araqchi condemned the Zionist raids on Lebanon. He warned that the region is on the brink of a full-scale war.
The Iranian foreign minister also touched on the demand of Italy and some other countries for a ceasefire in Lebanon. He pointed out that this measure burdens the supporters of "Tel Aviv" until they force it to stop its brutal attacks that resulted in the death of hundreds of people, including dozens of children.
Araqchi pointed to the bankruptcy of the Zionist enemy and the failure to achieve any of its declared goals in Gaza despite the passage of a year since the brutal massacres committed inside the Gaza Strip.
He stressed that the Zionist enemy should not be allowed to expand the circle of war to the entire region to get out of the state of bankruptcy it has reached.
