War criminal Netanyahu seeks to impose forced displacement on Palestinians as fait accompli!!

SANA'A - SABA : War criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and his far-right government seek to impose forced displacement on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank as a fait accompli, and to implement annexation and settlement expansion plans, and the war of extermination and ethnic cleansing in the occupied Gaza Strip and West Bank, while the Palestinian people's attachment to their land and their right to self-determination increases.

It is known that forced displacement is the permanent or temporary removal of people from their lands against their will without providing them with legal protection or other means, and it falls under the category of war crimes and genocide, according to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and forced displacement occurs either directly through the use of force or indirectly through displacement through means of pressure, intimidation and persecution.

Palestinians in the occupied territories have been subjected to forced displacement for 75 years, which is also classified as a crime against humanity. It is a systematic policy practiced against them by the Zionist enemy since the Nakba of 1948.

Since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza on October 7, the Netanyahu government and the Zionists have spoken in public statements about the displacement of the Palestinians of Gaza to Egypt.

Observers believe that the Zionist scenario of forced displacement of the Palestinians is still in place, and that it represents the greatest goal of the usurping Zionist entity in its aggression against Gaza.

Observers believe that despite the existence of many declared goals of the Zionist entity, which its military leaders talk about day and night, the hidden goal, which they do not mention, always remains the mass forced displacement of the Palestinians, not only from Gaza, but from the West Bank as well.

Analysts believe that the steps taken by the Zionist entity on the ground, from bombing operations and destruction of all the necessities of life, only lead to one option, which is to push the Palestinians of Gaza towards the Egyptian border and force them to leave, forcibly or voluntarily, in search of a life.

Military experts also believe that the military operations that have become more violent in the southern Gaza Strip confirm the continued push of the occupying entity towards the scenario of forced displacement of the residents of Gaza towards the Egyptian Sinai.

The Zionist enemy army had previously, within its military operations in southern Gaza, demanded that the residents of Khan Yunis head towards the city of Rafah on the Egyptian border.

Several Palestinian analysts believe that the Zionist entity seeks to make the displacement scenario a fait accompli, meaning that it creates conditions that kill all the necessities of life inside Gaza, and then at the same time pushes the population in one direction, towards the Egyptian border so that they gather there, to create a humanitarian crisis on the border, and to put a kind of pressure on the Egyptian side, which may allow them to enter under humanitarian pressure in the end.

Since the ideas of forced displacement of the Palestinians of Gaza were raised by Zionist officials at the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, they were met with American rejection, as well as rejection by Egypt and Jordan.

Despite the declared American rejection of the Zionist plans for the forced displacement of the Palestinians of Gaza, Palestinian sources doubt the seriousness of this rejection, and consider it a kind of distribution of roles, and that its primary goal is to anesthetize the Arab parties, and to occupy people with talking about it, to give the usurping entity an opportunity to complete its military operations, and the displacement scenario in the end.

The Zionist enemy's plans to displace the citizens of the Jordan Valley and impose full sovereignty over it are not new, and their roots go back to the beginnings of the occupation of the Jordan Valley five decades ago, through major colonial projects, the most prominent of which was the "Allon" project dating back to 1968, and since then the successive governments of the Zionist enemy have adopted different methods and pretexts for this.

The Zionist enemy authorities seized most of the Jordan Valley lands and used various pretexts for this, including: state lands, nature reserves, firing zones, and other names that ultimately lead to depriving the owners of the land of it and granting it to the settlers.

The Zionist enemy government, headed by Netanyahu, moved from the stages of secretly passing annexation and displacement plans to declaring it, and this was clearly evident during a press conference held by Netanyahu at the beginning of this month about the war of extermination he is waging against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

What is striking is that when Netanyahu presented a map of Palestine, he omitted the West Bank from it, which analysts considered a prediction of the shape of the next stage of displacing the Palestinians and annexing the West Bank, and the first areas in which the preludes to this began are the eastern slopes and the Jordan Valley, as data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission indicate that 27 population centers have been displaced in the West Bank since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza in October 2023 until now, under the threat of weapons and due to the violence of the settlers.

The annexation of the West Bank takes several forms, including the displacement of certain communities, as happened in the eastern slopes. The Zionist enemy government may also work to complete this through measures related to creating difficult and coercive conditions that repel other communities, such as impoverishment, or restricting rural residents and pushing them towards the cities.

On the anniversary of the Nakba, Amnesty International said in a statement: The ongoing forced displacement of nearly two million Palestinians, and the extensive destruction of civilian property and civilian infrastructure in the occupied Gaza Strip, highlight the Zionist entity's horrific record of displacing Palestinians, and its continued refusal to respect their right to return over the past 76 years. It pointed out that this anniversary recalls the displacement of more than 800,000 Palestinians following the establishment of the usurping entity in 1948.

During the past months, the Zionist enemy has forcibly displaced more than 150,000 Palestinians from Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, coinciding with its intensification of its ground and air operations in the area, endangering thousands of lives and preventing the arrival of necessary humanitarian aid to most of those who have already fled and been displaced many times due to the merciless Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip over the past months, according to the organization.

“Generations of Palestinians across the occupied territories have experienced the trauma of being uprooted and dispossessed multiple times with no hope of returning, leaving deep scars on their psyche,” said Erika Guevara-Rosas, Amnesty International’s Director of Research, Advocacy, Policy and Campaigns. “It is horrifying to see the horrific scenes of the 1948 Nakba (catastrophe) as Palestinians call it repeated, with large numbers of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip forced to flee their homes on foot in search of safety time and time again, and Palestinians in the West Bank being evicted from their homes by the Israeli army and Israeli-backed settlers.”

The UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council have called on Israel to continue facilitating the return of Palestinians, yet the occupying Israeli entity has not even recognised the Palestinians’ right to return despite binding UN Security Council resolutions.

Here, the international community must do everything in its power to prevent further forced displacement of Palestinians, and to change the status of permanent displacement for all Palestinians by enabling them to effectively exercise their right of return. An immediate and sustainable ceasefire must also be achieved in the Gaza Strip.
