Cyprus - Saba: Hundreds of Greek Cypriots gathered in protest against the role of British military bases in supporting the ongoing Zionist attacks on the Gaza Strip on Monday.
According to Greek media reports, demonstrators assembled outside the British air base at "Akrotiri," located on Greek territory, urging the Greek Cypriot administration to take action to prevent military operations launched from these British facilities in the eastern Mediterranean.
The protesters held banners and flags in support of the Palestinians, declaring, "We are here, in front of the British Air Force airport in Akrotiri, because British spy planes assist Israel in gathering intelligence about operations in Gaza from this location."
Haris Karamanou, an official from the Progressive Labor Party (AKEL), addressed the crowd, stating, "Hundreds of tons of bombs and ammunition have passed through here, contributing to the complete destruction of Gaza."
In response to the protests, a spokesperson for the British bases asserted, "No RAF flight has carried lethal cargo to Israeli forces."
