Sana'a - Saba:
The National Centre for Meteorology and Early Warning on Sunday predicted thunderstorms, rain and high-speed winds in the eastern territorial waters during the next 24 hours.
The center said in its weather bulletin that the tropical state has been classified as an air depression in the eastern and southeastern Arabian Sea and is currently centered at a latitude of (15:32 north) and a longitude of (66.1 east), and its center is 1,500 km away from the coasts of Al-Mahra Governorate (1,500 km) and the Socotra Archipelago (1308 km).
It stated that cumulus clouds are expected to form accompanied by thunderstorms, precipitation and high-speed winds in the east of the country's territorial waters that may reach 60 knots.
The center pointed out that the weather may be partly cloudy to cloudy on the Socotra archipelago, the eastern coasts and the eastern Gulf of Aden.
The center warned fishermen and ship captains in the eastern territorial waters of sea turbulence and high waves, calling on citizens in the Socotra archipelago not to be in the valleys and torrential waterways during and after the rains.
The center urged the relevant authorities and citizens to follow the bulletins issued by it.
