Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Ali al-Yafei met on Sunday with Director of the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities and Monuments Mukhtar al-Kuhlani to assess damage to the historic city of Zabid following recent heavy rains in Hodeida province.
The meeting focused on damage assessments and planned restoration efforts, highlighting Zabid's significance as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Dr. al-Yafei emphasized the ministry's commitment to preserving the city's rich historical and archaeological heritage, which continues to attract scholars and researchers from around the world.
