The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourned on Friday the martyr leader Mahmoud Hamdan, known as "Abu Youssef," who commanded Tel Sultan Battalion in Rafah.
He was martyred while engaging the Zionist enemy army in Tel Sultan neighborhood, alongside late commander Yahya al-Sinwar.
In a statement released on their Telegram channel, Hamas expressed their sorrow for Hamdan’s loss, highlighting his bravery in battle. He fell during a clash with Israeli forces in Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip.
Earlier on Friday, Khalil al-Hayya, a member of Hamas’s Political Bureau, also paid tribute to al-Sinwar, noting that he was martyred while valiantly fighting against the Zionist army until the very end.
