London - Saba:
Health experts have warned of six warning signs during sleep that may indicate underlying health issues requiring early medical intervention.
A recent medical report explained that persistent fatigue despite getting adequate sleep, along with difficulty falling or staying asleep, could be indicators of disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, or anxiety. Experts also cautioned against mood swings, difficulty concentrating, and memory problems, which may result from poor sleep quality and affect mental and cognitive health.
The report emphasized that the worsening of chronic conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes may be linked to sleep deprivation, increasing the severity of these conditions. Additionally, experts noted that sleep-related accidents and injuries, such as sudden drowsiness or sleepwalking, could signal serious disorders requiring diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Deborah Lee highlighted the importance of addressing sleep disorders in their early stages to prevent deterioration in both physical and mental health.
