Istanbul - (Saba):
The Turkish city of Istanbul experienced a 6.2-magnitude earthquake on Wednesday.
The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Center announced that the earthquake occurred off the coast of Silivri at a depth of 6.92 kilometers below the Earth's surface.
The United States Geological Survey confirmed that the earthquake measured 6.2 magnitude, but indicated that its depth was 10 kilometers.
Anadolu Agency reported that the earthquake was felt in several neighboring cities.
The earthquake occurred less than half an hour after a weak earthquake, with tremors measuring 3.9 magnitude off the coast of Silivri.
