Sana'a - Saba:
The Deputy Governor of Sana'a Province for the Services Sector, Fares Al-Kahali, inspected on Friday the progress of a number of service projects in Manakha district.

The deputy governor reviewed the steps and field procedures at the proposed site for the implementation of the wastewater treatment plant for the western part of the city of Manakha.

During a meeting that included the directors of human resources at the province office, Abdulkarim Al-Salami and Mounir Al-Kabsi, the secretary of the local council, Ali Massad, and the district's elders, they reviewed the technical measures that have been taken to implement the project in accordance with environmental and health requirements, in a way that does not harm the future residents of the area, their property, housing and agricultural lands.

During the visit to the project site, the Al-Kahali met with a number of citizens from the area, noting the importance of the project in preserving the environment and preventing the spread of epidemics due to the overflowing of sewage collection tanks (cesspools), due to the nature and terrain of the area.

He emphasized the keenness of the provincial leadership to ensure the people's health and safety of the district and the province, and its interest in implementing infrastructure projects in all service sectors, especially water, sanitation, roads and health, which is a priority for the Revolution Leader and the Supreme Political Council's President.

Al-Kahali, Al-Kabsi, Al-Salami, Massad and Al-Muznaei inspected the solar energy systems project, which is part of the Minakha water project funded by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) at a cost of 476,000 dollars.

They heard from the director of the Water and Sanitation Corporation in the directorate, Mounir Al-Jasser, an explanation of the construction work completed in the project to build bases and holders for the 128 solar panels, with a 32-kilowatt horizontal pump.

Jasser explained that work on the project, which consists of four re-pumping stations and two water wells, is proceeding as planned, stressing that the work will be completed on schedule.

The deputy governor and his companions also inspected the maintenance of 30 kilometers of electricity network lines, starting from the Khamis Bani Saad area in Al-Mahwit Province to Arada-Qadam station, a line of 33 thousand kilovolts, and from the Arada station to Manakha city, a line of 11 thousand kilovolts.

Al-Kahali urged workers to redouble their efforts to complete the maintenance work on time and complete the delivery of electricity to Manakha district and its neighboring districts.
