The national team is close to qualifying for the Asian Cup finals after a valuable victory over Kyrgyzstan with a score of three goals to two in the match held today as part of the second round of Group Nine competitions taking place in Vietnam.
The national team's three goals were scored by the top scorers of Group Nine, Mohammed Al-Jarash and Karim Hamdi. Despite Kyrgyzstan leading 2-1, the stars of the red team were determined and seized the victory rightfully.
With this difficult win, the young players under coach Samer Fadl have placed Yemen at the top of the group with six points. A win or a draw against the host team, Vietnam, on Sunday, will be enough to qualify for the Asian finals.
