Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, congratulated "the brothers in Hezbollah in Lebanon on the election of Sheikh Naim Qassem as the party's Secretary General."
Tasnim International News Agency reported that Qalibaf said in a letter to Sheikh Naim Qassem, "We congratulate you on this wise choice by the struggling and revolutionary group."
He added, "There is no doubt that the arenas of resistance and struggle against the front of disbelief and the inhuman practices of the Zionist and aggressor regime will remain, with the presence of prominent figures in the resistance front and brave fighters like you."
