Liverpool defeated Southampton by three goals to two on Sunday evening in the twelfth round of the English Premier League.
Liverpool's goals were scored by Dominic Sopoclay and Mohamed Salah in the 30th, 65th and 83rd minutes, while Southampton's goals were scored by Adam Armstrong and Mateus Fernandez in the 24th and 56th minutes.
With this victory, Liverpool moved away from the top of the league after raising its balance to 31 points, eight points ahead of second-place Manchester City, while Southampton's balance remained at four points in the last place.
