The Portuguese national team sealed its qualification for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Nations League, after beating Poland with a score of 5-1, in the match that they met, on Friday evening, for the fifth round of Group A competitions in the first level.
Portugal's goals were scored by : Cristiano Ronaldo in the 72nd and 87th minutes, Rafael Liao in the 9th minute, Bruno Fernandes in the 80th minute, and Pedro Neto in the 83rd minute, while Domnik Marzec scored for Poland in the 88th minute.
With this victory, Portugal raised its score to 13 points at the top of the group, while the Polish team remained in third place with four points.
In the same group matches, Scotland beat Croatia with a goal without reply, scored by John McGinn in the 86th minute to raise their balance to four points in third place, while Croatia's balance froze at seven points in second place.
Also, the Spanish national team (the defending champions) beat their Danish hosts by two goals to one in the fifth round and for Group D.
Mikel Oyarzabal and Ayoze Perez scored in the 15th and 58th minutes, while Gustav Isaksson scored for Denmark in the 84th minute.
With this, Spain raised its score to 13 points, after it sealed its qualification for the quarterfinals since the last round, while Denmark's score froze at seven points in second place.
In the same group, the Swiss and Serbian teams drew with a goal each, as Zaki Al-Amdouni scored for the Swiss in the 78th minute, while Aleska Terzic scored for Serbia in the 88th minute and raised its balance to five points in third place, while the Swiss team remained in the last place with two points.
In another match, Cyprus defeated Lithuania by two goals to one, in the fifth round of Group B at the third level, raising the winner's score to six points in third place, while the loser remained in the last place, with no points.
In the same group, Romania drew with Kosovo without goals, the Romanian team raised its score to 13 points at the top, while Kosovo maintained its second place with ten points.
In Group C, Northern Ireland beat Belarus by two goals without reply, scored by Daniel Ballar in the 50th minute, and Dion Charles from a penalty kick in the 63rd minute, so that the Irish strengthened their lead with ten points, while Belarus's score froze at six points.
In the same group, the Bulgarian national team beat Luxembourg with a goal scored by Andrian Krayev in the 23rd minute, to raise the winner's score to eight points and move up to second place, while Luxembourg's score froze at two points in the last place.
