A leadership source in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas confirmed that the movement's delegation listened in recent days to ideas from mediators in Egypt and Qatar regarding a temporary ceasefire for a specified number of days, and an increase in the number of aid trucks, during which there would be a partial exchange of prisoners.
The Al-Aqsa satellite channel reported today, Friday, that the leadership source in Hamas stated that the proposals do not include a permanent halt to aggression, nor the withdrawal of enemy forces from the Gaza Strip, nor the return of the displaced.
The source indicated that the proposals do not address the needs of the Palestinian people for security, stability, relief, and reconstruction, nor the normal opening of crossings, especially the Rafah crossing.
The movement's delegation reiterated that what the Palestinian people want is a complete, comprehensive, and permanent cessation of fire, a full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the return of the displaced, and the lifting of the blockade.
He explained that the delegation emphasized the need to provide the essentials of life, including food, shelter, medicine, and reconstruction, and then to achieve a serious exchange process that includes alleviating the suffering of our heroic prisoners and ending their unjust detention.
The source said that Hamas also confirmed that it is open to any ideas or negotiations to achieve these goals and implement Security Council Resolution 2735.
