Sana'a - Saba:
The 16th Annual Conference and the 7th Diagnostic Imaging Conference began on Tuesday, which is organized by the Heart Center at the Sana'a City-based General Revolution Hospital, in cooperation with the Medical Council.
With the participation of 1,200 consultants and specialists from various Yemeni governorates and from Britain, Italy, India and Egypt, the two 3-day conferences will discuss a number of working papers and include scientific lectures to shed light on developments in heart and artery diseases, catheterization, anatomy, electrocardiography, cardiac television and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
At the opening, member of the Supreme Political Council Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor praised everyone who contributed to organizing the conference in its 16th edition, and the efforts exerted by all doctors, consultants, specialists and medical staff who devoted all their time to serving humanity in light of the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through.
"We are living in the tenth year of siege and aggression, and patients are basically the most affected by the air blockade," he said, citing the difficulties patients face when they go to Aden or Seyoun airport to travel for treatment, and most of them died while suffering on the road.
Scientific conferences have not stopped in the capital, Sana'a, and doctors at Sana'a University, 21-September University, other universities, central hospitals, and others continue, Dr. Bin Habtoor added, as everyone is competing for an idea and scientific research to develop and keep up with everything new in various practical fields of medicine in light of the ongoing siege.
He praised the doctors who endure the trouble of traveling from other governorates to participate in scientific conferences in Sana'a because they have worked and are working for humanity and are making efforts to serve patients.
"This morning, a hospital in the Gaza Strip was directly shelled with various types of weapons, arrogance and manifestations of savagery by the usurping entity," Dr. Bin Habtoor added.
"The people of Gaza are being killed in hospitals because of the brutality of the Zionists, America and Europe who brag about human rights. There are more than 42 thousand martyrs, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip before the very eyes of Arab Zionized rulers and kings.
