Sana'a - Saba:
The Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in Manakhah District, Sana'a Governorate, has destroyed a quantity of expired food items that were deemed unfit for human consumption.
The destruction process was conducted in the presence of the District Director, Munir Al-Kibsi, and the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Ali Masad. Director of the Office of Economy, Abduljalil Al-Quradhi, stated that the expired items were confiscated during field inspections of markets. These inspections focused on monitoring prices, weights, and price labeling, as well as inspecting goods and seizing expired products for safe disposal.
Al-Quradhi explained that the destroyed items included juices, chocolates, milk, children’s medicines, diapers, energy drinks, and medical supplies. He confirmed that legal measures were taken against violators by the Domestic Trade Law and its executive regulations.
The destruction was attended by members of the committee and several specialists in the directorate.
