Intisaf Organization for Women and Children's Rights said that the final report of the UN Security Council's team of experts on Yemen revealed on Wednesday the council's real function and its exploitation in order to promote the interests of America and Israel and incite war, aggression and siege and use the capabilities of the UN Security Council in its favor.
The organization denounced the clear contradiction in the goals of the United Nations and the UN Security Council, which require neutrality, objectivity and balance in addressing issues, considering this a violation of the principles and rules of international humanitarian law, including the principles of humanity, distinction and proportionality.
The organization's statement added that the report of the International Experts Committee on Yemen contained phrases that could be interpreted as a call for the international community to impose severe sanctions on Yemen and increase economic pressure on the Yemeni people and justify a new attack in the future under the pretext of the report that coincides with the Zionist enemy committing crimes and massacres in both Palestine and Lebanon.
It pointed out that such a report would have dire consequences and undesirable repercussions, as it would represent a green light for the Zionist enemy and a justification for committing its crimes with international approval.
The organization denounced the report, which it considered disappointing, and called on all human rights organizations and honorable activists around the world to condemn and reject it and seek to expose all the crimes of the Zionist enemy alliance against children and women in Palestine and Lebanon.
It held the Security Council, the United Nations and its Secretary-General fully responsible for any crimes that may be committed against the children and women of Palestine and Lebanon by the Zionist enemy alliance.
