Social Affairs and Labor Minister Samir Baja'ala inspected on Monday the Juvenile House for Boys.
Accompanied by Social Affairs for the Welfare Sector Deputy Minister Yasser Sharafeddine, the Social Affairs Minister was briefed on the work, education, training and rehabilitation mechanism at the home.
He listened to an explanation from the director general of the home, Mohammed Al-Arafi, about the services provided by the house to its juvenile inmates who are in conflict with the law.
The Social Affairs Minister emphasized the Ministry's keenness to provide the needs required by the house to provide its services in accordance with the responsibilities entrusted to it.
He pointed out that the house needs care so that those in charge of the house can perform their duty towards the juveniles and rehabilitate them according to the Yemeni faith identity to return to society as good individuals, praising the efforts of those in charge of the home and working under difficult conditions and lack of basic capabilities.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Social Affairs for the Welfare Sector Ministry explained that the minister's visit to the house to assess the needs and coordinate with the official authorities to do their respective roles towards the home and its residents, pointing out that the house receives 120 juveniles per month, which requires operational expenses, social and educational staff to rehabilitate juveniles and care from all official bodies such as the Ministries of Social Affairs, Justice, Interior, and Education.
He pointed out that the Social Affairs Ministry will work on joint coordination with official and societal bodies so that the house can play its role to the fullest towards the juveniles in the house.
