Sana'a - Saba:
Al-Arouba Club denounced the Supreme Committee for the Yemeni General Football Federation elections , which excluded the club's candidate and the national list for the post of federation president, Ibrahim Mohsen Al-Suwaidi.
The club said in a press release, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) today, "The poor and contradictory announcement issued by the election committee blew up all standards of neutrality, transparency , integrity and blatantly aligned with the outgoing president of the football federation since 2018.
He considered this announcement a blatant violation of all the regulations of the Yemeni, Asian and international federations, which emphasize absolute transparency, integrity, impartiality and equal opportunities for all candidates for the elections scheduled for November 30.
Al-Arouba Club statement stated that the announcement contained many contradictions that revealed the lack of impartiality and poor performance of the committee formed by the Federation in violation of the statute, as the announcement stated that the head of the election committee confirmed the integrity, completeness , authenticity of the documents of the Swedish candidate and his fulfillment of the requirements required in the condition specified in the statute.
The statement pointed out that the announcement of the Yemeni Football Association Election Committee revealed that the decision taken was based on personal opinions and orientations that do not express full professionalism in work and reveal the full desire to exclude the club's candidate Ibrahim Al-Suwaidi under flimsy and contradictory pretexts that do not express full transparency, impartiality and institutional work required to be available in the committee.
The club expressed its regret that the committee challenged and questioned the legality and functions of the official sports bodies and frameworks, which are an integral part of the General Football Federation's work system and manage football activities in Sana'a and the provinces, when the committee denied the legality of the official documents issued by these frameworks.
It pointed out that this behavior calls into question the legality of all the activities of these official frameworks, especially the first championships , second , third division clubs and provincial champions, as well as player transfers , contracts , various qualification courses for coaches and referees and others.
Al-Arouba Club expressed its deep regret for this action, which revealed the identity of the voting members, exposing them to many societal and psychological pressures.
He reiterated that he reserves all the rights of his candidate and takes all legal measures at various local, continental and international levels, in order to ensure that the entire electoral process is corrected and in accordance with the standards and directives of the Asian and International Federations.
Meanwhile, Al-Arouba candidate Ibrahim Al-Suwaidi submitted an appeal petition to the Appeals Committee for the Yemen Football Federation elections, which included all documents and requirements with a legal explanation about the decision of the Elections Committee issued on November 9.
