The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted very cold and cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center said in its weather bulletin that it expects very cold weather during the night and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar and Al-Bayda, where the minimum temperatures range between 0-4 degrees Celsius.
According to the center, the weather may be cold in the highlands of Ibb, Al-Dalea, Lahj and Abyan governorates, with temperatures ranging between 5 and 8 degrees.
He reported that the lowest temperatures recorded at some weather stations this morning amounted to 4.8 in Sanaa, 5 in Dhamar, 5.6 in Amran, and 7.5 in Ibb.
The center called on the elderly, children, school students and workers during the night and early morning to take the necessary precautions to prevent cold weather.
The center also called on farmers to take precautions to protect their agricultural crops.
