The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its air defense systems shot down two Ukrainian drones over Belgorod province overnight and destroyed four drones heading towards Crimea in the Black Sea.
Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement on Sunday: “Over the past night, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks using drones on targets in the territory of Russia were stopped, and air defense systems destroyed two Ukrainian drones over the territory of Belgorod Oblast.”
According to the statement, fire crews on duty destroyed the four drone boats in the Black Sea basin, which were on their way to Crimea.
On an almost daily basis, Ukrainian armed forces target Russian border areas in the Republic of Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh provinces with drones and missiles, with the aim of sowing terror among civilians.
