Al-Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris, Deputy Director of the Presidential Office Fahd Al-Ezzi, and Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Administration, Local and Rural Development Ahmed Al-Shawtari and Mansour Al-Lakum reviewed on Sunday the work progress on the drinking water reservoir project in the city of Al-Bayda, funded by the Dutch government.
They listened to an explanation from those in charge of the project about what has been implemented from the components of the Jabal al-Ahmadi reservoir project at a cost of 200 thousand dollars, a liquefaction network and ancillary works of supports, excavations, inspection rooms, traps and house connections for more than 4,700 houses, with a completion rate of 80 percent of the project and the connection network.
In the visit, Fahd Al-Ezzi emphasized the need to implement the project according to engineering specifications and the specified time period. He pointed out the importance of the project in providing drinking water and meeting the needs of citizens. He stressed the need to raise community awareness to preserve water and rationalize its use.
He pointed to the interest of the Revolution Leader and the President of the Supreme Political Council in their keenness to support the province to alleviate the suffering of its people, pointing out that the development process requires concerted official , community efforts and active participation in providing services.
