Sana'a - Saba:
The Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Obbad, opened a free pharmacy dedicated to cleaning sector workers in the Capital Sana'a, to provide free medicines, especially for chronic diseases, within the health insurance project funded by the Hygiene Fund. The pharmacy aims to improve the health services provided to workers who are exposed to the risk of diseases by the nature of their work.
During the inauguration, the database on health insurance and the services provided by the pharmacy was reviewed to reduce the burden on 30,000 workers and their families. Dr. Obbad stressed the importance of the project and its role in reducing health costs, with the aspiration to establish an integrated health facility that serves a large number of workers and their families.
For his part, Dr. Mutahar Al-Marwani described the step as an important support to improve health care for this group and praised the leadership of the Secretariat and the Hygiene Fund for developing health insurance services. Mohamed Sharafeddine also pointed out the importance of the project in providing health protection for workers in light of the risks of infection they face daily.
The event was attended by several leaders and employees of the cleaning sector.
