Hajjah - Saba:
A new training course focused on sewing, embroidery, and professional tailoring began on Monday in Aflah al-Yemen district of Hajjah province.
The 30-day program is organized by the Women's Development Department of the district and aims to equip over 70 participants, primarily from martyrs' families and those with limited incomes, with valuable skills in these fields.
Director of the Women's Development Department Samia Shalakhof emphasized the significance of the course in enhancing the participants' abilities to sew and embroider high-quality clothing.
She highlighted that mastering these skills will help improve their living standards and contribute to their economic empowerment.
Shalakhof urged both trainers and participants to focus on the course outcomes, stressing the importance of quality craftsmanship and professional tailoring.
She also announced that the Women's Development Department plans to launch a community initiative that will purchase products made by course participants and distribute them to the children of martyrs as part of a clothing project aimed at supporting their welfare.
The initiative reflects a broader effort to empower women, provide sustainable livelihoods, and honor the sacrifices of martyrs' families in the region.
