The Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Ayyash Qahim, along with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Organization for Roads and Bridges, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami was briefed today on the progress of work in the first phase of the restoration and maintenance project of Palestine Street in Sana'a City.
They listened to the project managers of the corporation, Eng. Sadiq Al-Jarbani, and maintenance Eng. Abdul Qader Badi, from the director and engineers of the project to an explanation about the asphalt restoration works being implemented within the first phase of the project, which is being implemented by the General Organization for Roads at 127 million riyals, funded by the Capital Municipality.
The first phase includes maintenance and repairs of 4.3 kilometers of asphalt from the street, starting from the intersection of Airport Road to the intersection of Marib Street in Bani al-Harith, they said.
The Minister of Transport and Works pointed to the importance of implementing these projects to facilitate traffic and reduce traffic jams, alleviate the suffering of citizens, and give a decent appearance to the streets of the Capital Sana'a.
He praised the efforts of the Capital Municipality and the General Organization for Roads to complete this project. He stressed the importance of redoubling efforts to complete it within the specified period.
