A meeting chaired by Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment Eng. Moeen al-Mahaqeri discussed on Tuesday the work mechanisms of the Yemeni Authority for Standards, Metrology and Quality Control, and ways to develop it.
Minister of Economy and Industry listened from the Executive Director of the Authority Sam al-Bashiri to a report on the progress of work in the Authority and its activities, and the needs it requires in order to protect the consumer.
During the meeting, Minister al-Mahaqeri stressed the importance of the Authority's role during the stage of change and construction and contributing to protecting the national product, and strengthening consumer protection mechanisms, according to legal and transparent rules.
He directed the development of a chronic executive program to provide the Authority with the development needs of the required Authority so that it can perform its tasks and activities in order to protect the consumer, and support the national economy.
He also reviewed the digital automation work of the Authority's services that is being completed in a final manner, and the procedures for launching the Authority's digital platform in the coming weeks were discussed.
He urged the Authority’s leadership and cadres to work as one team, cooperate to solve problems, and ensure achieving tangible results that enhance the partnership between the government and the private sector, and create an atmosphere of mutual trust.
