The Islamic Resistance Operations Room issued a detailed statement on Tuesday evening about the field developments of the "Uli al-Bas" battle, which included the resistance's account of Ainata-Maroun al-Ras-Aitaroun Triangle ambush.
The statement confirmed that the total losses incurred by the enemy army since announcing the start of the "second phase" of the ground operation in southern Lebanon amounted to more than 18 dead, 32 wounded, and the destruction of five "Merkava" tanks and a military bulldozer.
The Islamic Resistance fighters continue to confront the "Israeli" aggression on Lebanon, and are inflicting heavy losses on the enemy army in terms of equipment and numbers of officers and soldiers along the confrontation axes at the front edge, reaching its locations deep in occupied Palestine.
1. Haifa Special Operation:
- The Haifa Special Operation comes in the context of the promise announced by the Islamic Resistance Operations Room to intensify and increase the pace of the series of special Khaybar operations.. It also comes in the context of refuting the allegations and claims of the enemy leaders about destroying the resistance's missile force.
- Through this operation, the resistance confirms that it still has the ability to target the enemy's military bases of various types at the same time and simultaneously, and with large volleys of special missiles that rained down on the occupied city of Haifa, and achieved their goals with precision.
- The Haifa Special Operation achieved its goals, and the resistance's missiles reached the five military bases that were announced, and the operation brought more than 300,000 settlers to shelters.
- The settlers are paying the price for the spread of the bases of the "Israeli" enemy army inside the settlements and occupied cities and near commercial and economic interests.
- The resistance has prepared to ensure its ability and readiness to carry out this type of operation in Haifa, and even beyond Haifa, and for a period of time that the enemy does not expect.
2. Regarding the enemy's announcement of the start of the second phase of the ground operation in southern Lebanon:
- After the decline in the air and ground operations of the "Israeli" enemy army in the border area by 40 percent due to the inability of the enemy army units to establish themselves inside Lebanese territory, the enemy rushed to announce the second phase of the ground operation in southern Lebanon.
- The Islamic Resistance Operations Room confirms that the concentrated and qualitative defensive operations that it carried out during the "first phase" of the "Israeli" enemy army's ground operation are what forced its forces to withdraw beyond the border in some places, and deprived them of the ability to establish themselves in most border towns.
- The Israeli enemy's air force continues to attack the border villages - which it claims to control - daily with dozens of raids by warplanes and drones, in addition to artillery fire and machine gun combing operations from border sites on many of these villages.. These attacks confirm the inability of the Israeli enemy army to establish itself inside Lebanese territory.. What is happening in terms of an attempt to advance towards areas south of the city of Khiyam - which it had previously tried to enter and withdrew from under the strikes of the Mujahideen - is additional evidence of the failure of the first stage.
- The total number of operations - announced - carried out by our heroic Mujahideen against the forces of the Israeli enemy since the start of the ground operation until the date of issuing this statement amounted to more than 350 operations on Lebanese territory, and more than 600 fire operations on areas of responsibility of the Israeli military divisions in the occupied Palestinian territories, during which the Israeli enemy army suffered heavy losses.
- We assure the officers and soldiers of the "Israeli" enemy army that what happened to the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade at the edges of Ainata-Maroun al-Ras-Aitaroun triangle is only the beginning.. .....As our holy martyr said, "You will enter vertically and exit horizontally."
3. Ground confrontations:
• Western sector:
- The "Israeli" enemy forces proceeded to advance towards the town of Shama in the western sector with the aim of controlling it as part of the pressure on the towns of the second echelon of the front to reduce the resistance's rocket fire on the city of Nahariya and the occupied Haifa area.
- The enemy forces infiltrated from the forests of Labouneh, passing through the forests of the towns of Alma al-Shaab and Tayr Harfa towards the town of Shama.
- The advancing forces fell into a series of ambushes that our Mujahideen had prepared on the outskirts of the town and inside it.
- During the infiltration of an armored company-level crew towards the vicinity of the town's mosque and the municipality building (east of the UNIFIL site), our fighters targeted them with guided missiles, which resulted in the destruction of two Merkava tanks and a bulldozer accompanying the force. Our fighters also targeted an infantry force in the vicinity of the shrine of the Prophet Simon Peter in the center of the town with a guided missile, which caused a number of casualties among its ranks.
- Our fighters clashed at close range with enemy forces in the vicinity of the shrine of the Prophet Simon Peter, the municipality building, the mosque and the outskirts of the town more than five times with machine guns, hand grenades and rocket-propelled grenades, which resulted in a large number of casualties. The Israeli ambulance forces intervened by calling in a helicopter to rescue and evacuate the casualties, and launched illumination devices to mark their location in the town's school.
- On the western outskirts of the town of al-Jbeen, our fighters targeted a Merkava tank with a guided missile, which resulted in the killing and wounding of its crew. In addition to pounding the operation area with 120mm and 81mm mortar shells.
The resistance's missile force targets the paths and positions of the "Israeli" enemy's soldiers and vehicles on this axis with dozens of missile salvos and artillery shells.
• Central sector: Ainata-Maroun al-Ras-Aitaroun triangle:
Refuting the "Israeli" enemy's narrative about the ambush in which its forces fell at the Ainata-Maroun al-Ras-Aitaroun triangle, and in an effort to convey the heroism that our mujahideen are writing on the axes of engagement, the Islamic Resistance's operations room announces the following:
- Our mujahideen monitored a force from the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade, affiliated with the 36th Division, infiltrating at the early hours of Wednesday 11/13/2024 from the border area between the towns of Aitaroun and Maroun al-Ras, towards the southeastern outskirts of the city of Bint Jbeil, with the aim of carrying out reconnaissance missions at the Ainata-Maroun al-Ras-Aitaroun triangle.
- Despite the intensive air campaigns carried out by the "Israeli" Air Force on the area, the force fell into a tight ambush by a group of resistance fighters.
- The enemy force arrived at the ambush area at 09:50 in the morning, where a group of our fighters were positioned in a house damaged by the aggression, and in the surrounding area.
- As soon as the "Israeli" force approached the killing point, our fighters opened fire on them from various directions with machine guns, forcing the force to spread out in the area.
- A group of the enemy force entered a house in the area to take shelter from the fire of our fighters, and the rest of the soldiers spread out around it.
- After the force settled in the house, and with the call "Labbaik Ya Nasrallah", our fighters targeted the house in a concentrated manner with a number of "RBG" anti-personnel and anti-armor shells, which led to the destruction of parts of the house on the force that took shelter inside it.
- Simultaneously with the collapse of the house, and amidst the state of panic that struck the rest of the "Israeli" force deployed in its vicinity, our Mujahideen opened fire with their machine guns on the rest of the force in the vicinity of the place.
- The clashes in the area continued for more than three hours, and the evacuation of the casualties took place under heavy smoke and fire cover.
- The "Israeli" enemy army acknowledged the killing of an officer and five soldiers from the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade, in addition to four wounded.
- No ground activity by the "Israeli" enemy army was recorded in the area after the end of the event and until now.
- It should be noted that during the July 2006 aggression, a force from the 51st Golani Battalion fell into an ambush by the resistance on the eastern outskirts of the city of Bint Jbeil, which resulted in the killing of eight soldiers and the wounding of more than 25 others. The battle was considered at the time one of the main battles in the history of the Golani Brigade, and the most difficult battle in the "Second Lebanon War".
• Eastern Sector:
- The enemy has intensified its aggression on the city of Khiam and its surroundings during the last few days (more than 60 air and drone raids and more than 130 artillery shells) in preparation for re-advancing towards the city after the failure of its first attempt more than ten days ago due to the heavy blows it received at the hands of the Mujahideen.
- Our Mujahideen clashed with the advancing forces immediately upon their arrival in the Wata al-Khiam area south of the city, with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, in addition to targeting two Merkava tanks with guided missiles, which led to their burning and the killing and wounding of those inside them.
- After a series of concentrated missile operations and direct clashes that our Mujahideen fought with the forces advancing towards the city of Khiam from the eastern and southern sides. Due to the heavy losses suffered by the enemy army, and under the blows of the Mujahideen, the enemy army withdrew for the second time, partially from the points it had advanced to.
4. Enemy Losses:
The total losses incurred by the "Israeli" enemy army since it announced the start of the "second phase" of the ground operation in southern Lebanon on 11/12/2024, according to what the Islamic Resistance fighters monitored, amounted to more than 18 dead and 32 wounded (some of them critically injured), in addition to the destruction of five Merkava tanks and a military bulldozer, so that the cumulative toll of the "Israeli" enemy's losses since 10/1/2024 until the date of issuing this statement is as follows:
- Killing more than 110 and wounding more than 1,050 officers and soldiers of the enemy army.
- Destroying 48 Merkava tanks, nine military bulldozers, two Hummer vehicles, two armored vehicles, and two personnel carriers.
- Shooting down six Hermes 450 drones, two Hermes 900 drones, and a quadcopter.
It should be noted that this tally does not include the losses of the "Israeli" enemy in military bases, sites, barracks, settlements, and occupied cities.
