Palestinian Prisoners' Authority confirmed that the number of arrests carried out by the Zionist enemy army in the West Bank, including occupied Quds, since October 7, 2023, amounted to 11,900, including 435 women.
The Prisoners' Authority, the Prisoners' Club and Al-Dhameer Foundation said in a joint statement on Tuesday: The number of arrests and detentions among journalists amounted to 136 journalists, of whom 58 remain in detention, including five female journalists, and at least 32 journalists from Gaza whose identities have been confirmed.
The number of administrative detention orders since the start of the genocidal war has reached more than 10,000 orders, including new and renewal orders, including orders against children and women, according to the statement.
In addition, during the arrest campaigns, the Zionist enemy forces carry out widespread destruction of infrastructure, especially in Tulkarm, Jenin, and Tulkarm camps, demolish houses belonging to families of prisoners, use family members as hostages, and use detainees as human shields.
Enemy forces also carried out field executions, including members of detainees' families.
Prisoners' organizations indicated that the highest number of arrests were recorded in the governorates of Al-Quds and Hebron.
The statement touched on the martyrdom of at least 47 prisoners whose identities were revealed and announced since October last year, including 29 martyrs from Gaza detainees, in addition to dozens of Gaza detainees who were martyred in prisons , camps , whose identities and circumstances of their martyrdom were not disclosed by the occupation, in addition to dozens who were subjected to field executions.
It explained that 45 prisoners who were martyred and announced since the start of the genocidal war have their bodies withheld, and they are among the 56 martyrs whose bodies the occupation continues to withhold, whose identities have been announced.
It pointed out that these data do not include the number of arrests from Gaza, which are estimated in thousands, knowing that the occupation admitted that it arrested more than 4500 citizens from Gaza, and released hundreds of them later, noting that the enemy arrested hundreds of Gazan workers in the West Bank, in addition to citizens from Gaza who were in the West Bank for medical treatment.
The Zionist enemy forces also arrested more than 1,000 citizens from northern Gaza, according to available estimates, according to the statement.
The total number of prisoners in Zionist enemy prisons as of the beginning of December 2024 amounted to more than 10,300, while the number of administrative detainees amounted to 3428, including at least 100 children and 27 female prisoners.
The number of female prisoners whose identities are known is 88, including four female prisoners from Gaza whose identities are known and who are in Damon Prison, while the number of administrative detainees is 27.
The statement explained that the number of female prisoners mentioned does not include all female prisoners from Gaza, and that there may be female prisoners in enemy camps, and indicated that the number of children in enemy prisons is not less than 280 children.
Before October 7, 2023, the total number of prisoners in prisons was more than 5250, the number of female prisoners was 40, the number of children in prisons was 170, and the number of administrative detainees was about 1320.
