A joint meeting was held on Wednesday at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor between the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Samir Bajaala, and the Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment, Eng. Mouin Al-Mahagri, in the presence of several officials from the two ministries.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two ministries in economic empowerment, and the importance of developing economic empowerment projects implemented by the Ministry of Social Affairs. It also stressed the need to reactivate and rehabilitate programs specialized in economic empowerment on scientific and professional bases to ensure sound institutional building and raise the efficiency of human cadres, in addition to redesigning the work programs of the Social Welfare Fund.
The two ministers agreed to study new projects in line with the government's program of change and economic construction, in addition to establishing a hospital for the disabled and encouraging the private sector to participate in it. It was also agreed to establish a permanent exhibition to display the products of women entrepreneurs, and to form a joint team to prepare a digital exhibition to promote the products of productive families and businesswomen.
The meeting concluded with another meeting scheduled for next week to review the progress in the implementation of these projects and the agreed mandates.
