Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration, Local and Rural Development Mohammed al-Madani on Sunday met with Hodeida governor Abdullah Atifi to discuss key developmental and administrative issues in the province.
The meeting focused on enhancing project planning and improving local governance to meet the changing demands of the Government of Change and Construction.
Al-Madani emphasized the need for effective and flexible planning to accommodate rapid developments and ensure the success of service and infrastructure projects.
He highlighted Hodeida as a model for other provinces due to its potential for growth, particularly in agricultural and industrial sectors.
He stressed the importance of increasing local financial resources to support these projects, with the involvement of local communities and the private sector.
The Deputy Prime Minister also called for a closer connection with the people to better understand their needs and improve decision-making.
He urged local leaders to mobilize community resources and enhance agricultural productivity to benefit the region’s economy.
Al-Madani encouraged participation in an upcoming workshop on administrative planning that would positively impact local development.
Governor Atifi reiterated his commitment to completing all tasks and programs, emphasizing the importance of collective work between local authorities, executive offices, and the private sector.
He expressed confidence that with these efforts, Hodeida could become a model for development.
