In its meeting chaired by Judge Dr. Abdul Momen Shuja El-Din, the Supreme Judicial Council reviewed a report on the achievements of the Supreme Court during the past three months.
The report included judicial and administrative reforms undertaken by the court to improve performance and speed up the adjudication of cases. The Council also praised the Court's efforts in issuing judicial circulars to regulate work and control procedures in the courts.
The Council also discussed the draft Manual on Division Procedures, and the draft was referred to the General Secretariat for final drafting. In addition, the Council addressed the amendments to the Code of Civil Procedure and Execution, and tasked the concerned authorities with preparing a matrix to accommodate the observations on the project.
The Council also decided to settle a number of grievances related to members of the judiciary and reviewed requests for reconsideration of some judicial rulings referred by the Office of the President of the Republic.
The Board concluded the meeting by reviewing the previous minutes and adopting appropriate procedures for the topics on its agenda.
