Ottawa - Saba:
Canadian media reports indicated today, Monday, that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will make a cabinet reshuffle soon.
The local CTV channel reported that Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Sean Fraser will leave his position for personal reasons.
It is worth noting that Fraser's departure could be a major blow to Trudeau, as he was considered a "rising star" in Canadian politics, in addition to his supervision of the important housing sector.
According to the channel, former Bank of Canada President Mark Carney, with whom active negotiations are currently underway, may join Trudeau's government, and the Prime Minister is expected to make a cabinet reshuffle on December 18.
Trudeau and the ruling Liberal Party of Canada have been losing support since 2023 amid continued rising prices and living standards.
