The Iraqi Foreign Ministry called on the international community yesterday, Sunday, to take a firm stance to condemn the ongoing violations of the Zionist entity, and to work hard to protect the unity and sovereignty of Syrian lands, and to ensure the achievement of security and stability in the region.
The Foreign Ministry expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the decision of the Israeli entity government to expand its settlement policy in the occupied Syrian Golan, which represents a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions.
The ministry affirmed Iraq's firm and supportive position on the rights of the Syrian Arab Republic to restore its full sovereignty over its lands, stressing that the Golan is an occupied Syrian territory, and that any measures aimed at changing its legal and demographic status are null and void.
