The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said Sunday that the international silence on the continued displacement and extermination of the Palestinian people encouraged the Zionist enemy to escalate its crimes against civilians and destroy the foundations of life in the Gaza Strip in all its aspects.
The ministry explained in a statement that the double standards have made the international community lose its ability to act, and made it unable to see the legal and humanitarian dimensions of the suffering of the Palestinian people.
It noted that this international silence coincided with the continuation of the war of extermination that entered its 450th day, and resulted in the death of five children due to the severe cold, in addition to 90 days of killing, destruction and displacement in the northern Gaza Strip, where dilapidated tents have turned into mass graves above ground for Palestinian families.
The ministry stressed that it is following the Zionist escalation against the Palestinian people at all international levels, warning that the inability of the international community to implement UN resolutions related to stopping the aggression deepens the circles of violence and weakens confidence in the credibility of international legitimacy institutions in imposing respect for international humanitarian law.
