The project to establish a maintenance workshop for fishermen's boats, implemented by Action for Humanity, was completed on Wednesday at the fishing port in Hodeidah .
The project, in coordination with the local authority in the province and the General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea, included establishing a warehouse for the workshop, providing it with tools , equipment, and carrying out maintenance work on a number of boats at the expense of the project within two months of the launch of work.
At the conclusion of the workshop, in the presence of the organization's project manager, Majid Al-Mahdi, the deputy head of the Fisheries Authority, Abdulmalik Sabra, praised the efforts made by the organization to implement the workshop and provide maintenance work for a number of fishermen's boats who are unable to maintain their boats.
He emphasized the Authority's keenness to redouble efforts to expand the workshop's activity and work to find additional solutions that contribute to enhancing services in accordance with the requirements of maintenance work for various boats in a sustainable manner.
In turn, the project supervisor for the organization, Alaa Al-Kali, reviewed an explanation of the stages of project implementation and the type of equipment and materials required for the workshop during the project period, pointing to the role of the Fisheries Authority and the Tihama Coast Association in the success of the maintenance work for the boats of the target group of fishermen in the project.
