Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi met on Saturday Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment Eng. Moeen al-Mahaqeri to review the progress of the ministry's development projects and activities.
The discussion centered on the upcoming launch of the electronic portal for the Yemeni Organization for Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Control, known as "Tasheel."
This initiative will introduce several electronic systems and services aimed at simplifying and streamlining procedures and transactions within the organization. The first phase of the project will focus on enhancing the efficiency of operations.
Minister al-Mahaqeri explained that the portal's objectives include improving service quality, fostering trust with the private sector, reducing corruption, and ensuring better data management.
Among the systems to be launched are administrative communications, control of imported goods, a barcode and sample coding system, an inspector system for gold and precious metals, and an electronic platform for merchants.
The Prime Minister commended the efforts of the Ministry and the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Control in launching the portal, stressing its alignment with the government's efforts to simplify procedures, protect consumers, and strengthen private sector partnerships.
