Paris - Saba:
Several French cities have witnessed farmers' protests against the "Mercosur" free trade agreement between the European Union and the South American economic bloc, which is considered a killer for farmers.
According to Russia Today, protesters began moving towards the capital, Paris, today, Sunday, where there will be huge demonstrations tomorrow, Monday, in defiance of all warnings.
According to the sources, the protests do not include all unions, but some of them, which have asked to go by cars and tractors to the capital.
The unions and some opposition parties supporting the movement estimate that the demonstrations will be larger than the authorities' expectations.
French media outlets said authorities are following the movement of tractors on various roads in the south, east, north and west with concern.
Last year, the protests, which included blocking the country's main roads, succeeded in obtaining a promise from the government to increase subsidies for farmers.
