Jenin - Saba:
A leader in the Jenin Battalion confirmed last night that all initiatives related to ending the camp events are suspended due to a political decision issued by the President of the Authority.
The leader said in press statements reported by the Palestinian Information Center: "Every time they receive messages from the highest levels in the Authority, that the solution for them is either to continue the military campaign, or the resistance fighters hand over their weapons and themselves."
He stressed that this option is unacceptable for us and the resistance.. adding: "Any dialogue to end the crisis in the Jenin camp must be based on not touching the resistance's weapons, and we are ready to discuss everything, including that."
He pointed out that "the majority of the security forces' soldiers who are from Jenin camp are being held in security headquarters, due to the events, on charges of providing information to the battalion or participating in resistance activities."
He stated that "the spokesman for the PA security forces claimed that 247 outlaws were arrested, according to his description, but the truth is that only five injured individuals from the battalion were arrested, and the rest are mostly residents of the camp, relatives of martyrs and freed prisoners, including doctors."
The PA forces continue to besiege Jenin camp for the second month in a row, amid threats directed at journalists to stop media coverage and not enter the camp.
Local sources reported that the PA forces have imposed their siege on Jenin camp, amid violent raids and storming of homes and mosques, noting that their arrests have included the wounded and those wanted by the occupation entity.
They pointed out that the camp is completely besieged by the PA forces, and electricity and water have been cut off, in addition to preventing the entry of food and medical supplies, which has made life inside it almost impossible.
Hospitals were not spared from the raids of the authority’s security forces, which turned them into military barracks, coinciding with the arrest of the injured and wounded from operating rooms before completing their treatment, in a flagrant violation of all humanitarian and international laws.
