The Supreme Supervisory Committee for Evaluation launched the field visit to evaluate graduate programs in private universities, where the evaluation targets 86 academic programs for master's and doctorates distributed across 17 private universities.
The evaluation work began at the universities of "Al-Mustaqbal, Saba, and Queen Arwa", and the specialized committees will continue their work for three weeks according to an approved schedule.
During the inauguration, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Duais stressed the importance of adhering to the reference framework for the work of the evaluation committees to ensure correcting the paths of graduate programs and achieving the required quality. He pointed out that the evaluation is carried out according to approved standards and terms of reference aimed at improving the level of higher education in private institutions.
For his part, the Chairman of the Supreme Supervisory Committee Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti explained that the evaluation focuses on reviewing documents and reports related to licensing programs and the extent to which they meet quality standards. The five basic evaluation criteria include the program's mission and objectives, learning outcomes, program management, and facilities, facilities and laboratories, and the financial structure of the institution.
The evaluation aims to control the quality of higher education and correct shortcomings in postgraduate programs, ensuring the achievement of fair academic standards that contribute to the development of the educational process in private higher education institutions.
