The Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water, Dr. Ali Saif, and the Governor of Hajjah, Hilal Al-Sufi, discussed with representatives of UNICEF the plan for water and sanitation projects implemented in 2024 and the organization's plan for 2025 in partnership with the ministry and its affiliated institutions.
The water and sanitation projects completed in 2024 were reviewed, as well as the project plan for the years 2025-2026 according to the priorities and needs of Hajjah Governorate.
The meeting discussed enhancing cooperation between the ministry, the local authority, and UNICEF, and addressing the challenges facing the implementation of projects.
The meeting stressed the governorate's need for sanitation projects in the Abs and Al-Shahel districts and the governorate center to address population expansion.
He stressed the importance of expanding the partnership with UNICEF to mobilize funding and implement priority projects, while providing the necessary facilities.
He called for supporting projects that meet the needs of the community, appreciating the efforts of the ministry and UNICEF.
He stressed the ministry's keenness to implement projects according to the government's plan and praised UNICEF's support.
The organization confirmed its commitment to completing stalled projects and mobilizing funding to implement new projects in the water and sanitation sector.
