The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" announced, at dawn on Monday, that it submitted a proposal to the mediators to conduct an additional exchange operation that includes the prisoner Arbil Yehud with two other prisoners of the occupation before next Friday.
Hamas explained that based on that, the movement reached, through the efforts of the mediators, that the return of the displaced will begin starting this morning, Monday, January 27, 2025
It said that the proposal comes "within the framework of the movement's efforts to remove the pretexts that Netanyahu put in place to prevent the return of the displaced to the northern Gaza Strip, and to resolve the issue of the prisoner held by the resistance, Arbil Yehud."
It indicated that it submitted a proposal for the additional exchange operation, while the exchange operation scheduled for next Saturday remains as scheduled and includes three prisoners of the occupation.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday evening that an "understanding" had been reached between the Palestinian resistance factions (represented by the Hamas movement) and the Israeli occupation regarding the return of the displaced from the south and center of the Gaza Strip to its north.
