Sana'a - Saba:
The Supreme Elections and Referendum Committee on Wednesday commemorated the annual anniversary of Martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad with a central speech festival.
During the festival, the Chairman of the Supreme Elections Committee, Judge Mohammed Al-Salmi, said Martyr al-Sammad shouldered great tasks by assuming the presidency of the Supreme Political Council in an exceptional phase, during which he worked sincerely to unify the ranks and confront the American, Saudi and Emirati aggression with courage and heroism for the sake of God and the homeland, not for a position or gain.
"Martyr al-Sammad led Yemen in the most difficult stages, and accepted the responsibility, and viewed it as a loss, not a gain, and was able to manage the affairs of the homeland with wisdom, prudence, determination and competence," he added, noting the heroic positions of the martyr al-Sammad and the meanings of sacrifice and redemption that he carried in defense of the homeland and its sovereignty.
During the event, the Secretary-General of the Committee, Mohammed Al-Jalal, pointed out that the martyr President al-Sammad graduated from a great Quranic school and studied and was raised by the flags of guidance and left that in his biography, movement and jihad until he attained martyrdom for the sake of God.
He said, "Martyr al-Sammad assumed responsibility at a time when the country was experiencing aggression and siege by the coalition of forces of injustice and global arrogance that tried to break the will of the people of faith and wisdom, but the martyr had a vision and correctness in managing the affairs of the country."
Al-Jalal stated that al-Sammad was a president and a mujahid under the leadership of Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, noting that commemorating the martyr President al-Sammad is a station to stand before a personality that revives in the souls the meanings of pride, dignity, sacrifice and giving, and an opportunity to recall his positions in order to defend the religion of God and the nation.
"Today we express our pride and honor in the sacrifices of the martyrs, foremost among them the martyr leader Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi and the martyr President Saleh al-Sammad and all the martyrs whose sacrifices resulted in victory and honor for the Yemeni people who, despite the aggression and siege, did not hesitate or hesitate in supporting the brothers in Gaza and remained steadfast in their positions until victory was achieved in stopping the aggression on Gaza."
