Tehran-Saba:
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to the statements of former US President Donald Trump, saying: "Smart people choose maximum rationality instead of the failed policy of maximum pressure."
Araghchi wrote on his page on the "X" platform: "The so-called maximum pressure is a failed experiment, and repeating it will only lead to maximum resistance.. Smart people choose maximum rationality instead."
He added: "Iran, in addition to being a committed party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and other international non-proliferation agreements, has previously clearly declared that, under any circumstances, it will not seek to search for, produce or possess a nuclear weapon."
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that obtaining practical guarantees that Iran will not possess a nuclear weapon is not difficult, provided that mutual tangible guarantees are provided to end hostile measures against Iran, including economic pressure and sanctions.
