Gaza - Saba:
The representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Dr Rik Peeperkorn, emphasized that several risks regarding health conditions have occurred in the 15 months of war.
Peeperkorn said in a statement on Thursday: "Health facilities and services operating in Gaza are scarce. He noted that "18 out of 36" hospitals in Gaza Strip are "partially functioning," and about a third of the primary health care centers there are "also partially functioning."
A few days ago, the director general of the Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip, Munir al-Borsh, confirmed that "basic supplies for operating hospitals, such as fuel and oxygen stations, have not arrived in northern Gaza Strip."
Al-Borsh emphasized the urgent need for field hospitals, after many hospitals in northern Gaza stopped functioning.
The government media office in Gaza announced that the Zionist enemy is "procrastinating in implementing the humanitarian protocol and evading its obligations."
